We hope you are well and enjoying your summer. While the challenge of preparing for summer 2021 at camp during a global pandemic was daunting at times, we are so happy that we were able to provide an amazing experience for our campers and staff this summer. Seeing maskless smiles and hearing the sounds of laughter across camp was exactly what we all needed.
After careful consideration and consultation with our medical team, we have made the difficult decision to once again postpone our 100-year celebration due to health risks associated with COVID-19. With the recent news about breakthrough cases and vaccinated people transmitting the virus, we feel it would be irresponsible to throw a large gathering with people traveling from all over the country. Common sense practices like social distancing and mask-wearing are unrealistic, not to mention counter to what we all expect at a camp reunion. In addition to your own health and safety, we took into account that many of you would be returning home to unvaccinated children. We know you were looking forward to being back at camp with your friends and we share in your disappointment.
We will be in touch over the year regarding a new date for our centennial celebration.
In good health,
The Corpuel and Brown Families
